Chelsea transfers and rumours

If I was a manager of a high profiled club like The Blues are I would go to Brazil in person and watch the players I want to buy in action. This way I would prevent the club from buying players that had shown absolutely nothing in the World Cup. I don't understand how could we purchase the spanish duo Fabregas+Costa. They were both rubbish. So far I have the feeling that Chelsea is weakening their team, more than strenghting it. Our beloved David Luiz has left to PSG for 50 milion pounds, being the most expensive defender in the history of football. For some reason, Mourinho keeps selling players that the fans love. (Juan Mata)

Kurt Zouma, a young talented defender, should probably take David's place in the team as a third choice defender. The fourth purchase to our team so far has been Mario Palašič. I'm not sure what to expect of this guy, but he'll probably just go to Vitesse.

I hope that some players, such as Lucas Piazón, Patrick Bamfrod, Nathaniel Chalobah, Marko Mari, Oriol Romeu or Romelu Lukaku, that were on loan last season can proove to Mou that they are good enough to stay at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming season.

Probably the most expected return to the Bridge is the return of the atlético's "king" in goal Thibaut Courtois. Some people expect this young belgian to be the first choice goalkeeper. I hope this won't happen. I think that Petr Čech has proven more than once that he's much better that Courtois. Plus the attitude of the belgian is pretty irrotating as well.

So basically, I think that the transfer window isn't going very well so far for us. If you look at the singings club's like Arsenal, Man City, or Man United have made, we can be pretty afraid.

Here our some other players that we might try to sign this summer: Filipe Luís, Paul Pogba, Didier Drogba, Eliaquim Mangala.

These players look more like the guys I'd like to see in the Chelsea colours next season, and I really think they would prove some use to the team, because the positions of these players don't look that strenghtened.

Left back: César Azpilicueta, Ryan Betrand, (Filipe Luís)
Centre back: John Terry, Gary Cahill, Kurt Zouma, Nathan Aké, (Eliaquim Mangala)
Holding midfielder: Cesc Fabregas, John Obi Mikel, Ramires, Oriol Romeu, (Paul Pogba)
Striker: Fernando Torres, Demba Ba, Romelu Lukaku, Diego Costa, (Didier Drogba)

I think that Ryan will leave, if Luís comes. It will be for the best, Ryan is a fantastic player, and deserves to play in the first team of a decent club in Premier League.

I don't feel that the centre back position is still good enough. John Terry is fantastic, but quite old already, and this looks like his last season at the Bridge, so I don't think he'll be able to play in every game. So this means Gary will be the number one centre back. And Kurt Zouma, and Nathan Aké are certainly not ready enough to step up for John if needed.

The holding midfielder position will be a problem. I still don't agree with the depart of Lampard from the Bridge, and everyone will be really sorry he isn't there for use this season. I don't know what the boss's plans for this spot are, but I never thought neither Mikel or Ramires are good enough to play for Chelsea, so Pogba would be a real reinforcement to the team.

Yeah it seems like we have enough strikers, let's just hope at least one of them will be capable of scoring goals. If King Didier returns, it won't be like he'll be playing all the games, cause he would probably work as a coach/player.

Well I can just say I'm really interested what will happen in this transfer window. KTBFFH

PSG rematch preview

It's the Champions League 2012 all over again, a lost 3-1 away at the Park of Prince (that time in Napoli), a home win against Spurs and then ...? Hopefully we'll finish the third game as we did last time. Win 4-1 in the extra time, or even better, not concied a goal at home and win 2-0 in style.

Let's have a little flash-back and have a look at our starting line-up from the magical night at the Bridge: Čech - Ivanovič, Luiz, Terry, Cole - Essien, Ramires - Mata, Lampard, Sturridge - Drogba.
Well, 4 of these players are not at Chelsea anymore, I am pretty sure Cole won't  start since Azpi has been brilliant in the past months. So this leaves us with Čech, Ivanovič, Luiz, Terry, Ramires, and Lamps. It's quite clear, that we need to score goals, so we need a lot of attacking players, but ALSO we must not let in any.
I hope the classic defence Ivanovič,Cahill, Terry, Azpillicueta won't do any mistakes like they did a week ago. It's a pity we can't use the only two players that seem to be doing great in the past weeks. (Matič, Salah) + it looks like only of the duo Willian-Schurrle can play. So what do I think will the starting line up look like today? Easy. Čech-Iva, Cahill, Terry, Azpi-Lampard, Luiz-Hazard, Oscar, Willian- Eto'o.
Ramires can't play so I am pretty sure we will see Frankie from the start next to David Luiz, and Samuel Eto'o has just recently recovered from his injury, so I am not really sure if he'll start or not, but even though I don't consider him as a very good player, but I hope he's going to be playing against PSG, because Torres is in a very very poor form lately.

Arsenal Preview

So, It's the London derby today. Even though Mourinho keeeps sayin' we aren't good enough to win the league this year, I think different. We are good enough. We just musn't loose to clubs, that are situated in the middle of the table or lower. City are playing Fulham today with Liverpool peeking to Wales for today's match in Cardiff. I expect them both to win, and getting 3 points, which leaves us with a simple task today to keep up the tempo for the league trophy - WIN. We are certainly capable of this, even though Arsenal are playing very good football this year.

(Un)fortunately we can't use Willian and Ramires to face The Gunners. I think that this means we'll see a rather defensive duo Lampard-Matič with Hazard, Oscar and Schurrle above them. Even though Arsenal are having a very good run for the cup this year, the weren't perfect in the last few games. Only a 1-0 win over Spurs, before that a 0-1 lost against Stoke, before that a splendid game against Sunderland, but even before that, in February a goal less draw at the Old Trafford and a massive defeat 1-5 against the Brandon Rogers's Liverpool.

Personaly, I am preddicting a entertaining match with a 2-1 victory to our team. Overall we are playing at our home ground at Stamford Bridge where we haven't been beaten yet in a very very long time.

Galatasaray Preview

After a rubbish performance against Villa the next club we have to face is the turkish Galatasaray Istanbul. This match will be very special for everyone supporting The Blues, because the one and only King Didier will be finally returning to Stamford Bridge. After a 1-1 draw in Istanbul I believe no one can say that this will be an easy match even though the bookmakers at betting services think different. We have all established that Galatasaray has not only got a fantastic manager, but also a very good team starring Didier Drogba.
But we must not think that Gala is only Drogba. They have more big names in their squad haunting Mourinho at nights. If you just look at the lineup they had last time in Turkey  (Muslera – Eboué, Chedjou, Balta, Telles – Hajrović, Melo, Inan (C), Sneijder – Yilmaz, Drogba) you can see a lot of players that we already saw previously playing for big succesive clubs in the Champions League. Emanuel Eboué for Arsenal, Felipe Melo in Italy for Juventus or Fiorentina, Aurélien Chedjou for Lille, and especially Wesley Sneijder who played for the best clubs in Europe such as Ajax, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan.

I can't say it's much of a young team really, I think we have quite an advantage in that. We can outrun them with players like Hazard, Oscar or Willian. Now this is how we played last time: Čech – Ivanović, Cahill, Terry (C), Azpilicueta – Willian, Ramires, Hazard , Lampard, Schürrle – Torres.

Considering a very bad performance at Villa Park there should be some changes. We can't use Salah nor Matič, which I don't really call a problem, even though some fans say that Matič has been outstanding so far.
José shouldn't interfiere with the defence, it's not perfect, but we can't really rotate the players, since the only other defenders we have are rubbish. Cole is slow and Luiz keeps making mistakes. Yes, we do have Tomáš Kalas, who I think is a wonderkid at this position, but I would be very suprised if I saw him in the starting lineup. So, above the traditional defence Iva-Cahill,Terry-Azpi it leaves us with Lamps, Luiz, and Ramires. Now it will probably be Lampard and Ramires, but I think we should forget about Ramires for a while. He hasn't been perfect in the last few matches, and I'm hoping to see an entertaining match, so I'd rather watch Luiz with his attacking way of playing rather than Ramires loosing his balls all the time. The attacking trio? None of them were perfect, none of them were even good in the last matches if I may say. I would probably give Schurrle a chance, because he always seems to be trying, and keeping up the hard work, unlike the brazilians. Then there is an option of Hazard, Oscar or Willian. They were all very poor lately, but I have to say Hazard is the man for important matches. He can always think of a clever pass or a good run to do in the right moment. And he's good with Azpilicueta on the left side! The striker is something Mourinho needs to think about in the future. Eto'o is old, Torres isn't doing a great job, and the only one that seems to be good whenever he is on the pitch (vs. Tottenham for example) is always on the bench.

I would love to see this lineup, what about you? :)
Čech - Ivanovič, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta - David Luiz, Lampard - Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle - Ba
